It's well known that primary cancers have a predilection for particular metastatic sites. For example:
Prostate ➛ Bone
But, amazingly, some cancers appear to have an affinity for regions within a single metastatic site...

While there is no 1:1 correlation, interesting trends have been reported:
Melanoma ➛ frontal & temporal lobes
Breast cancer ➛ cerebellum & basal ganglia
Large cell of lung ➛ occipital lobe
Squamous cell of lung ➛ cerebellum

Another study found similar (yet inverse) results for breast cancer and melanoma.
