All that’s left of Western Europe’s political model is voting out the other guy; it’s entirely negative: there is no remaining popular interest or enthusiasm in the ideological offerings or vision of any political party
Morbid symptoms etc etc— perhaps the lack of a single viable alternative is what’s driving the profusion of arcane micro-ideologies, in a sort of global Weimar still awaiting whatever dark fate is trying to be born
