Prior to launching our e-commerce brand we spent $756 on ads to get 280 survey response that told us everything we needed to know about our products & customers.
This simply action allowed us to scale to over $100k/mo after only a few months. Here’s how:
Don’t over-complicate it. We simply ran ads to a Notion page with a Typeform embedded at the end to capture responses. Still managed to get it down to a $2 CPL
Be honest. We included a short message to tell people why they were landing on this page... that we want to hook them up with a cheeky discount when we launch in exchange for some feedback.
It’s amazing what people will tell you when you ask. They told us:
- Their email & phone number
- Their favourite design
- How much they’d pay
- Why they want to buy

This was INVALUABLE market research that allowed us to position our product exactly how people would like
With this feedback, we were able to order stock (almost) to the tee, and had no issues stepping on the gas once we were ready to launch. We could advertise what we already knew would be our best-seller, and reduce our ad costs significantly as a result.
Now, we use this system for every new product launch. Not bad for an hour or two of work!
