Venn diagram: ADHD vs Bipolar Disorder. ADHD only: boredom, repetitive behaviors, rejection sensitivity, daydreaming, inappropriate social behavior, intrusive thoughts, difficulty following directions, excitability. Bipolar only: euphoria, hypersomnia, suicidal thoughts, inflated sense of self-importance, self harm, paranoia, decreased need for sleep, guilt. Shared symptoms: anxiety, aggression, depression, mood swings, emotional dysregulation, difficulty focusing, risky behaviors, intrusive thoughts, forgetfulness, disorganization, low motivation, rumination, restlessness, fatigue, impulsivity, irritability.

It should also be noted that the ADHD symptoms include both Hyperactive-Impulsive symptoms as well as Inattentive symptoms.
Likewise, the Bipolar symptoms shown include symptoms from depressive episodes and manic (or hypomanic) episodes.
