THREAD: Organized Conversions Subverting Religious Character of India.
Hon'ble @narendramodi Sir
1. There has been large-scale asymmetric assault on indigenous religions [such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism] by the organized and institutionalised religious conversion +
2. machinery to change the religious demography of the country. Some States and large parts of the country have already become non-indigenous religious majority.
This is accompanied by an increasing interference in our centuries-old religious traditions and cultural practices +
3. that inform beautiful diversity of our ancient civilisation. Deep state narratives are out to destroy our indigenous religions and abrahamise India.
Pertinently, sadly even though Hinduism is 3rd largest religion with more than 1.1 billion Hindus there is no Hindu State.+
4. Therefore, India as the only homeland for Hindus must protect its ancient civilisation that is informed primarily by Sanatana Dharma (all indigenous religions) which is possible only demography which is the carriers of religion remains & retains indigenous religious majority.+
5. Majority of framers of Constitution erroneously assumed a level playing field between proselytising Xnity & Is1am and the non-proselytising indigenous Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism unmindful of the dangers of equal freedoms to predator and its prey to eat one another.+
6. Resultantly, the constitutional freedom to make an informed choice by individuals is being abused to launch organized institutionalised conversion war with well-oiled machinery that incentivises and subtly coerces people to convert.
Sadly, the State & Govts are reduced as +
7. mute spectators, nay silent facilitators, while the religious character of our demography is being altered and our ancient civilization is getting destroyed.
Way back in 1954 Govt of MP of @INCIndia appointed Christian Missionaries Activities Enquiry Committee headed by+
8. Justice M B Niyogi, popularly known as Niyogi Committee, which after thorough study submitted Report on 18-4-1956, inter alia recommending
(a) amendment of the Constitution
(b) Legislative measures to curb the menace of organised & illicit religious conversion activities etc.+
9. Though Constitution was not amended, Odisha & MP enacted analogous Freedom of Religion Act in 1967 & 1968 respectively prohibiting conversion by force, inducement, fraud and threat of divine displeasure & ex-communication. Over time a few other States too enacted similar law.+
10. As they say, the path to hell is paved with good intentions. So instead of containing the problem these State laws have actually been helping conversion as explained below:
1st, these laws have no impact on growing menace as their approach & design were faulty & inadequate.+
11. They prescribe symptomatic treatment, inadvertently masking or ignoring the underlying etiology or cause which is organised institutionalised conversion activities.
2nd, there is constitutional limitation to make effective anti-conversion for want of enabling constitutional+
12. provision as in the case of #CAA. Read👇this
timesofindia.indiatimes.com
3rd, the deep state cite these toothless laws to launch vilification campaigns of false victimhood to intimidate State machinery as well as to generate more foreign funds for further boosting conversions.+
13. FREEDOMS ARE NOT INFINITE. Like there is no freedom to commit suicide, there cannot be freedom —either collective or individual— to self-destroy or allow destruction of indigenous religions on the specious premise of freedom to propagate religion, which cannot be unbridled.+
14. It is especially true in case of theologies that assert theirs as the only true religion. In such a scenario, there can never be a meeting ground or level playing field between expansionist exclusivist abrahamic religions & non-expansionist inclusivist indigenous religions.+
15. Abrahamist conversions have been areas of serious concern across globe as they are responsible for immense bloodshed, invasions, colonialism, wars and destruction of many civilizations like Roman, Greek, Egyptian, Hindu, Maya, Aztec, Inca, Zoroastrian, African, Australian.+
16. All Islamic countries, China & even Greece have banned conversions. Article 13(2) of Greece Constitution prohibits proselytisation.
India is the only major ancient civilisational nation that allows, nay invites, as constitutional right to convert out of indigenous religions.+
17. One gets an uneasy feeling that India is suffering from self-destructive national lemming complex.
CONSTITUTION CANNOT BE AN INSTRUMENT TO DESTROY INDIGENOUS RELIGIONS!
Preambular exhortation of Constitution of ‘unity and integrity of nation” has civilisational connotation+
18. as deep civilisational ties bound us spatially and inter-generationally across yugas. Therefore, the constitutional morality and obligation is to nurture our ancient civilisation, for, bereft of it there will be no India as geographical lumps alone do not make a nation.+
19. Pak & BD were part of India till 75 yrs but no longer so. Why? Because their majority religion is not anchored in & informed by ancient Indian civilisation.
In other words, a nation's primary identity is its majority religion even though secularism may inform its governance.
20. A religion can continue to live only as long as it has a State that nurtures it.
Indian State being inheritor & trustee of ancient civilisation that is primarily informed by indigenous religions, has bounden constitutional obligation to promote it & its indigenous religions.+
21. Further, man does not live in isolation. Being essentially a social animal he cannot have freedoms and rights that are detrimental to the collective interests and survival of the family, community, religion, society and nation. It is, therefore, imperative that individual+
22. religious freedoms must always be subordinated to collective right of existence of a religion especially the non-proselytising indigenous religions viz, Hindu, Jain, Buddh, Sikh that primarily inform our civilisation, which the State is constitutionally obliged to protect.+
23. Importantly, indigenous religions Hindu, Jain, Buddh, Sikh have an inalienable collective right of existence (life) which the Indian State must guarantee.
Hence, individual religious freedom and constitutional responsibility of the State to protect, preserve and nurture our+
24. ancient civilisation must be balanced in favour of the later by guaranteeing freedom to all persons to profess and practice religion while prohibiting propagation, proselytisation, evangelisation or any such activity aimed at conversion of people of indigenous religions.+
25. Therefore, @PMOIndia Sir, kindly amend Article 25 of Constitution to delete word "propagate" therein & insert a new clause/proviso forbidding organised institutionalised activities aimed at conversion of people of indigenous religions.
