Have been asked this question a lot -
"How to start learning Coding"
Lets give you guys a whole Roadmap to start learning coding
An In-Depth Thread
First Step -
Ask yourself what you want to learn ??
For ex. I started learning coding cause wanted to learn Python language
For you language or framework might be different
Although this gives you clear understanding of where to start
Second Step -
Search on Google/YT about that programming language or framework
I will take example of Python in this whole Thread
Read about basics of python like what are its uses and how to install python in your device
After that directly head to Youtube and search -
"(Your language) + Tutorial"
Pick any of the playlists or video that you like and start giving atleast 30 minutes of your day to learn coding
Slowly you will get interested in it as you see the projects that you can make with coding
After finishing any of these tutorials which give you basic idea of the syntax of the language
You can directly head towards making projects
In my case after finishing these tutorials i started making Shodh.Arthavruksha.Co.In 's Corporate Announcements Page
And I learned 10X more about the python while making Shodh than the tutorials
Hence after you learn all the basic stuff of a language head to make projects
In this journey you will face thousands of errors while coding that help u learn more
So i think the most important skill u should inculcate in the start is Googling
Like just copy the error and google it . I myself have found answers to almost every error via Google
Another thing that i myself do (I regret) of is that head towards directly using modules without reading documentation
You can't remember everything of everything
Hence another skill u should inculcate is how to read documentations of modules/languages/frameworks
Here are list of Sites & Youtube Channels from which i learnt coding & still learning from
Sites -
1. Stackoverlow.com
90% of my coding is dependent on this site
2. GeeksforGeeks.org
Great comprehensive articles explaining coding concepts
3. w3schools.com
Also great articles on explaining how modules works
4. Codedamn.com
You can without installing any IDE directly start writing & running code on their playgrounds feature
5. Github.com
Must use for Code mangament on Cloud
Youtube Channels -
1. CodewithHarry -
youtube.com
2. Codedamn -
youtube.com
3. Apna College -
youtube.com
4. 1littlecoder -
youtube.com
5. FreecodeCamp -
youtube.com
I hope i added value to your coding journey with this Thread
My motive was to address as many as questions asked by you guys
Thanks for reading this Thread till the end
