When the Muslims were sacked by the Mongols from one end and the Crusaders from the other, they spent the next few hundred years where they were, geographically. They were in the bottom of a dark age, and in a matter of a few generations climbed out of it,
When we talk about the Ibn Khaldun/Spenglerian course of civilizations, which we treat as absolute truth, I'm starting to fear that things like mass migration are altering it significantly.
When those Muslims were in that stage (Weak Men Creat Hard Times), they had no choice but to move on to the next step.
In recent history, as we live in that era again, masses of us have immigrated to the west to enjoy their golden age instead of climbing out of our dark one

It's not a majority of us - but a significant enough number, and of a caste among the Muslims who were rich/affluent enough to escape their home countries
Otherwise known as brain drain: when the smartest, those with the most potential are constantly being exported

The golden age they're running to won't last forever.
Except unlike before where the best Muslims were *in place* in their lands building, preparing to ascend, instead they're in wine bar with gf in new dork city

The result which I fear the most, if mass immigration from Muslim lands continue to increase in rate, is that when the big downfall of western civilization does happen, there will have been no preparation done in the Muslim world.
So the entire globe just becomes Africa
