We're all gifted in some way. Here are the types of gifted people.
In this thread, I'll show you the different categories of gifted people. To help you see which of them you fall under.
The Successful Type
This is the most common. They excel in school. Their drive comes from the high expectations of their parents, friends and teachers.
They usually get bored with school and lose their passion for learning. Because their gifts have become tied to their identity
The excessive focus on developing their talents and skills has stunted their emotional, social and personal growth.
Causing them to unimaginative and unstable adults.
The Challenging Type
These ones are not afraid of questioning authority. They're more creative and unconventional.
They're known for thinking outside the box. This builds a non-conformative behavior in them, which makes them difficult to get along with.
They hate school because it kills their creativity and stops them from realizing their full potential.
Without a strong support system, they can easily become delinquents. And drop out of school eventually.
The Underground Type
They try to hide their giftedness from others.
This could be to feel included in a non-gifted group. Or they dislike the criticisms and scrutiny giftedness comes with.
The people who don't uncover their gifts in childhood usually fall under this group.
As this is the age where a sense of belongingness and the need for social approval increases
They need encouragement from their friends and family to be comfortable to manifest their talents.
The Drop-out Type
They have a bad reputation. They feel angry, frustrated and depressed. And this is owed to their feelings being overlooked.
They struggle with their self-esteem (just like the Challenging type)
They don't get the support they need because their skills don't match with school curriculum.
The Double-laballed type
These ones have some sort of emotional or physical dysfunction. This makes it hard for school systems to identify them as gifted.
This gifted type was clearly depicted in the 2007 Indian movie - Like Stars on Earth.
They may be impatient, stubborn and sensitive to criticism.
This is why it's important to give them more help to build their strengths.
The Autonomous Type
These ones are independent and self-reliant. They find recognition because they learned to excel in the school setting by making it work for them.
These ones are goal-oriented.
They know they're gifted but never try to impress anyone.
Which gifted type are you?
