I don’t see this as being true. Sri Lanka’s current crisis is due to economic reasons & not political, societal or cultural ones.

India should avoid linguistic, religious and cultural majoritarianism for its own good, but I don’t see lessons that India, a country of 1.3 billion with multiple groups, can learn from Sri Lanka, a country of 21 million with two main groups. A tenuous comparison, at best.
