9 Psychology Hacks To Overcome Depression.

1. Identify the triggers.
- Understand what is making you depressed?
- Best way to find solution is to write ur problem down. And think what is causing it.
- When you identify what is causing it, you can act.
- Keep yourself in other persons shoes and try to find a solution.
2. Keep yourself occupied all the time
" An Idle mind is a devil's workshop;"
- Dont give your mind time to get lost in thoughts, keep it busy.
- Give some tough tasks, so that it keeps thinking.
- Break the regular routine, try something new each day.
3. Exercise and sleep
- Healthy body, happy you
- Keep your body fit. Get good sleep.
- It also gives you mental strength to overcome the depression.
- It is one of best ways to free your mind.
4. Identify and indulge in your happy distractions
- Pets? Music? Reading? books? Painting?
- What are your happy distractions apart from social media?
- Indulge in them. As time passes by, you will feel the difference.
5. Look at the bigger perspective
- Think if you remember the things that bothered you 5 years back? 1 year back? Answer would be NO.
- What ever is causing you depression now, will it matter 1 year down the Iine?
- Dont waste even a single moment of happiness for anything.
6. Find out your support system
- Interact with people in person
- Talk to your close friends or family
- Pour your heart out
- They might know you more than anyone else, and would be able to guide you through it
7. Spend time in the nature
- Nature and music has a great healing capability.
- All you have to do is spare some time for them.
- Get lost in the world of music, turn off the phone and spend time in nature frequently.
- You will feel it very rejuvenating.
8. Shopping
- Buy yourself something nice, something you had been thinking to,
- Dont overbuy and end it debt.
9. Add positive moments to your day
- Express Gratitude
- Acts of kindness toward others
- Volunteer for a good cause, all these things make you feel better.
- Make others smile, it slowly eases your depression, one smile a day.
