Pandit means scholar in Hinduism. Kashmiri scholars gave fantastic writers n scholars like – Kalidas, Vishnu Sharma (Panchtantra), Charak, Nagasena, Vagbhatt, Vatesvara, Utpala, Kalhana, sarangdeva.

In 18th century Mughals started getting weak n taking advantage of Durranis of Afghanistan attacked on Kashmir n took control on Kashmir in 1752. Durranis were more brutal than Auragzeb. Same story again. Rape, killing, conversions.

After 70 years, KH again got some happy days. In 1819, the Kashmir went into the hands of Sikhs. After Maharaja Ranjit Singh, Dogra king, Gulab Singh became king of Kashmir. The original Kashmiri culture flourished once again.

19th Jan is considered as Holocaust day of KH. KH who gave so much scholarly knowledge to world, who never harmed any one, faced extreme brutality, violence, rapes but irony is no media, no human right organization, no activist ever raised voice for them.
