Their family members were killed, their women were raped, they were thrown out from their homes but they never raised weapons, they never killed anyone. They r living like refugee in their own country but no one raised voice for them.
No pic on Time magazine, No article in NYT, WSJ, No amnesty, No human rights org for them. This community is – Kashmiri Hindus

Pandit means scholar in Hinduism. Kashmiri scholars gave fantastic writers n scholars like – Kalidas, Vishnu Sharma (Panchtantra), Charak, Nagasena, Vagbhatt, Vatesvara, Utpala, Kalhana, sarangdeva.
During Ashoka (304–232 BCE), Kashmir became a part of the Maurya Empire and Buddhism was introduced in Kashmir. During this period, many stupas, some shrines dedicated to Shiva, and the city of Srinagari (Srinagar) were built.
Kanishka (127–151 CE), an emperor of the Kushan dynasty, conquered Kashmir and established the new city of Kanishkapur.

This time it was Mughals. Prominently Shahjaha and Aurangjeb. Sahajaha’s commander Sardar Itquad Khan, specialized in converting KH under torture. Aurangzeb and his famous governor, Iftekhar Khan, continued raping and killing unleashed by his predecessors.

In 18th century Mughals started getting weak n taking advantage of Durranis of Afghanistan attacked on Kashmir n took control on Kashmir in 1752. Durranis were more brutal than Auragzeb. Same story again. Rape, killing, conversions.

After 70 years, KH again got some happy days. In 1819, the Kashmir went into the hands of Sikhs. After Maharaja Ranjit Singh, Dogra king, Gulab Singh became king of Kashmir. The original Kashmiri culture flourished once again.

In Sikh and Dogra rule, Muslims of the Valley did not suffer any discrimination. This peace lasted till 1931 CE n then happened 5th exodus of KH

His trial stirred up sentiments, protests were being held against the Dogra ruler. In 1319 Kashmir was 100% Hindu but by 1931 it has become Mslm majority. Things became ugly after the protesters were fired by local governor Trilok Chand
who was KH, firing triggered communal violence in areas of Naushehra, Bohri Kadal etc. KH were targeted, attacked and Killed. Communal riots took places in several places and properties of KH were looted, N they were to flee the valley.

India got independence in 1947 but Kashmir cud not. Due to Mistake of Nehru, Half of Kashmir was captured by Pakistan n Half went into Limbo due to article 370. ISI started radicalization in Kashmir n from 1950 -1980

KH kept facing discrimination in Abdullah govt n lot of KH fled from Kashmir. In 1971 Indira Gandhi got golden opportunity to free Kashmir from Pak but she wasted it.

The most brutal exodus happened not in some middle age Islamic era but in modern democratic India. On 19th Jan 1990, targeted killing of KH started, women were raped on road, kids were shot in eye. 5 lac KH left Kashmir Valley n cud never return to still now.

Vajpayee got opportunity in 1999 to get POK back but he wasted. In 2014 when Modi became PM, he started Operation all out in which radical terrorist were neutralized in large number, In 2019 GOI revoked article 370 n took Kashmir out from limbo n Kashmir became full part of India
but till now KH cud not go back to their mother land.

19th Jan is considered as Holocaust day of KH. KH who gave so much scholarly knowledge to world, who never harmed any one, faced extreme brutality, violence, rapes but irony is no media, no human right organization, no activist ever raised voice for them.
Only a film maker @vivekagnihotri dared to make film on atrocities on KH in 2022.
They r still being killed. 2 days ago a KH was shot dead. Undoubtedly they are the most persecuted community of the world.
