Personally find it complex to get gowns like these for events.
Especially because there are very limited places that allow you to hire (cheapest option) & the designers that can make them for you may charge an arm & a leg (esp when the brand just sent an invite, no budget).

The more famous you are, the more fortunate you are to build relationships with designers that can sponsor you for events. Even in the event that there is budget, the time in which you get the invitation influences what you wear. You can’t get a showstopper 3 days before.
For people who say “but you have money”, the money I have in my business account is reserved for actual work (clients pay 30 - 60 days post campaign) & I pay my service providers immediately.
There’s so many layers to it but I’ll have dresses chilling for events 1 day, God Speed

I use the term “actual work” loosely. Although events are a part of the job and may contribute to networking/PR opportunities, it is imperative to choose events that I attend wisely ESPECIALLY the themed ones that take a lot from the business funds.
Basically saying that limiting the number of events that I go to in order to ensure that I have enough working budget for future campaigns and MCing work resources that I need to input to execute work, has worked for me thus far.
