Here are things you should never say
"It's not my fault"
Blaming others when you make mistakes is a sign of immaturity.
Taking responsibility for things and blaming people less, improves you.
"This has to be perfect"
Perfection is a myth. Your focus should be on doing your best to complete your tasks.
This way you improve and learn from your errors.
"It's not fair"
This makes you sound immature because things won't always go your way.
Rather, find ways to understand the areas to improve on to make sure you don't make the same mistake next time.
"I'm more intelligent than you"
This makes you seem arrogant and immature. Because there are multiple domains of intelligence.
So just as you're better than them in one, they might be better than you in another, if not more.
"No offense, but..."
This always comes before something offensive. The only difference is you're not ready to take responsibility for being offensive.
Rather, take away the disrespect out of the statement.
"This is a stupid question but..."
This makes people see that you lack confidence in what you're saying.
Either ask it without disqualifying yourself or keep it to yourself.
"I can't do it"
Nobody obeys you like yourself. And if you keep telling yourself you can't do something, you will believe you.
"I told you so"
It's tempting to say this at times. But it comes off as condescending and arrogant.
It's best to keep quiet in these situations.
