@Hadithoftheday Surah Al-Asr (Chapter No. 103 of Qur'an).
Allah says in Qur'an:
"By time,"
"Indeed, mankind is in loss,"
"Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience."
(Qur'an: Surah Al-Asr 103: Verse 1-3)
@Hadithoftheday The theme of the Surah Al-Asr is that Man/Human being is in Loss. This statement comes after swearing an Oath โ€œBy Time.โ€ Which means Man is in Loss because of regret of the past and fear of the future. Only those are successful who are Patient And Truthful.
@Hadithoftheday Surah Al-Asr warns mankind of fleeting time.
Allah swears by time to man that he is in inevitable loss in the sense that the elapse of time consumes manโ€™s lifetime, i.e. his capital & the vessel that contains his righteous work, which is, in turn, the price of the Paradise
@Hadithoftheday This surah emphasizes the importance of utilizing time wisely. It points out to what can save mankind from loss in this world and the next
It has been referred to as a matchless example of comprehensiveness as it explains in three brief verses the way to success & the way to ruin
@Hadithoftheday This surah opens with admonition to humankind. Allah takes an oath by โ€œtimeโ€ and declares that humankind is in a state of loss. +
@Hadithoftheday Every single human being, man or woman, is in a state of loss except those who strive and do four things; believe, do righteous deeds, and recommend one another to truth, and to sabr.
@Hadithoftheday The simple translation for the word "asr" would be time. However "asr" has a much deeper meaning than another Arabic word meaning time, "dahr". Dahr means time with no limits placed upon it, asr on the other hand means time that is limited; time that will come to an end
@Hadithoftheday Here in Surah Al-Asr, Allah is swearing an oath by time, a time that is limited, a time that will end and a time that must be squeezed or pressed so that we, humankind, get as much from our limited time as possible.
@Hadithoftheday Whenever two of the Prophet ๏ทบ 's companions would meet, they would not disperse until they read Surah al-โ€˜Asr.โ€ (Tabari)
@Hadithoftheday Scholars note that this chapter contains the universals of Islam.
For that reason, the companions of Prophet Muhammad ๏ทบ would not leave each other until they read it.(Tabari)
@Hadithoftheday Imam Shafi (Rah) states that if Allah had only revealed this Surah,it would have been sufficient for the guidance of all Mankind. It summarizes the very essence of the Quranic philosophy & Message
He that if one followed its advice,it was enough for him to achieve success in life
@Hadithoftheday Goals:
1. Affirms great loss for those who reject Allahโ€™s message after it reached them correctly, and for those who accepted it but failed to live according to it.
2. Promise of success and felicity for those who believe in God, coupling that with acts of righteousness. +
@Hadithoftheday 3. The blessings of working together.
4. The blessings of truth.
5. The importance of patience.
