The Siren Archetype!
The 2nd in a series of 24 Archetypes.
The most Feminine of the Feminine. The Coldness of May. The Chaos of the ocean. The storms of the air. The wild flow of an untamed Taurus. Beauty from the depth of the sea and from sky above. Who are the Sirens?
The Sirens of antiquity were magical beings - shapeshifters. They manifested either as part bird or part fish. They could fly into the domain of heaven or swim into the underworldly ocean beneath. This beautiful beings lured men to their demise.
Today Sirens normally are INFP's Enneagram 4's. They are lower on conscientiousness, highly introverted, very neurotic, and high on openness to experience. In theory they should be very agreeable because they are so feminine but they often aren't. They have their own dark agenda
The Siren is by far the most Yin of all the types. Any trait or characteristic described in Taoism as Yin (the softness, the chaos, the coolness, the opacity, the intuition, the fluidity) applies to the Siren.
Siren can be men. If they are they often have baby faces and don't look as nearly as attractive as they are very feminine. Look how similar Thomas Brodie-Sangster is to Anya Taylor-Joy
Sirens look very different and often have quite alien features. However, they do makeup possibly 1/200 of .5% of the population. Go to an art gallery or a library and you might spot a couple.
Same basic face. One's male the other is female. Sirens are exceptionally intelligent. They are likely one of the tope 2 or 3 smartest archetypes. Raw feminine intelligence.
Michael Cera. Perfect example of a male Siren. Hyper-feminized. Pretty dorky/nerdy. Very introverted. Yin features. Just look at his eyes, jaw, cheeks, lips, and nose. Every trait is super feminine. Also he's a highly abstract thinker.
Another great example is Tim Burton. His shows are always dark and alienesque. It's chaotic. His mind is exactly like the feminine chaos described by Dr Peterson. It's karmically grim but intriguingly tantalizing. Sirens know how to capture our interest.
Sirens spend much of their time alone day dreaming of fantastical worlds far different than own own. Their neurosis is awe-strikingly beautiful and terrifying at the same time. The mind of the Siren is a wild adventure to behold.
The Siren calls us in our sleep. They go deep into our subconscious. They remind us that life could be far more complicated, mystical, and magical than what our normal day to day supposes. The Air meets the See and creates an extraordinary turbulence.
The Auxiliary of the Siren is either the Illuminator or the Star. If it's the Illuminator they'll be even more neurotic, abstract, and intuitive. If it's the Star they're probably better adjusted to reality. However the Siren is the most solipsistic type by far.
The Siren's Demons are the Scholar (if Star auxiliary) or the Scribe (if illuminator). Their demon forces them to be much more conscientious, rigid, and legalistic at times. Sometimes they are attracted to law even though it makes them miserable. The Shadow is the Emperor.
Overall the Siren is quite the sight to behold. They face challenges in our world that doesn't accept uniqueness. They often end up on seedy websites to make money. Their intelligence is often waisted. They need to be safeguarded and protected in order to create a new world.
