I was waiting for a hit job on Panchayat.And there it is. Left doesn’t disappoint. How can Left tolerate a show that talks about rural development,that shows women in control,that shows progressive village working towards improving their standards of living.They had to attack it
Left loves victimhood. Left loves to manufacture‘suffering women wilting under patriarchy’. And most important Left loves violence and expletives. Left loves thugs and crooks. That is why Anurag Kashyap’s cinema is progressive to them. And real slice of life cinema irks them.
Panchayat does not show any violence. Panchayat shows basic decency and good behavior that actually exists in real world. Panchayat shows people bonding with each other and not out to kill each other. Panchayat is everything that Left abhors.
I hope TVF can ignore noise and continue to focus on capturing real moments between real people. Rural UP is not just dons and crime. Rural UP is also people like us, living an ordinary life sometimes in extraordinary times. Let goodness prevail. Let people be happy.
Here in this thread I had tried to capture what Panchayat subtly tries to do and succeeds. Jaundiced minds drunk on wokeness cannot see this
I will take these two bit reviewers seriously when I see reservations enforced in Media houses.When I see caste revolution happening in hallowed publishing houses.Put your money where your mouth is. Till then, let ordinary Indians work on improving their lives one step at a time.
Feminist magazine that cannot see progressive women when they encounter them, because these women don’t use expletives, don’t hate men, are truly independent in their minds, and get what they want without burning down societies. !
