Here's how I do content updates these days ๐Ÿงต๐Ÿ‘‡
1. I add more content by checking the current People also ask section + competitors pages.
My blog posts must be the best on the SERPs, answering the most important questions.
Tip: You can use SurferSEO for this, but I prefer to do it manually.
2. I replace products that are no longer available.
Tip: don't just delete that content. Save it somewhere to use it again when the product is back on the shelves.
3. I add more options to buy the products. Easier said than done in many niches, but we have to try.
Tip: feature those that pay better on top or with bigger buttons.
4. I change the featured image ( header image ) with a new custom one.
Tip: stock images are overused
5. I delete content that is no longer relevant.
Tip: be careful with this one if you are already in the top 3. Check the current SERP to understand the intent.
6. I replace the intro section with a more engaging one.
For this, I use Jasper AI with the blog post intro template.
Tip: Be short with no more than a few sentences with the intro.
7. I add an answer target on the top.
For question-answer blog posts, 80% of the answer in a single paragraph.
For round-up product reviews, that's a sentence with my best pick and why I love it.
Tip: Put an affiliate link in there.
8. Republish the blog post with the current date.
Google loves fresh content, and this trick still works.
