Building a SaaS company in 24 hours.
Live on Twitter 👇
I have an idea for a no-code SaaS.
This weekend is great time to build it.
And share the ENTIRE process with you ♥️
This thread will be LONG & take hours to finish.
🔥 turn on post notifications to keep up
Feel free to ask questions/give feedback along the way🤘
Let's go!
First, the rules 📏
My goal is to show you how ANYONE can turn an idea into a business quickly.
Level playing field:
💰 $500 start-up budget
⏰ 24 hours time limit
❌ ZERO coding
I promise you can do this too.
I'll share the thought process & action steps in this thread.
So what are we building?
Short answer:
A discovery platform for brands to find UGC content creators & micro-influencers.
Before you say: "Everyone has that idea."
Hear me out.
The goal isn't to build something new.
It's to build something BETTER.
Let me explain...
First, the market it HUGE.
1.7m+ Shopify stores = plenty of customers
Second, current platforms have issues:
❌ Expensive For New Shopify Stores
❌ No Influencer Quality Control
❌ Two Sided Marketplace
❌ Too Many Features
We need a lightweight, affordable discovery tool.
So let's build it 👀
I'm loading up on the basics:
@GoDaddy domain ($12)
@stripe account (free)
@Google workspace ($12/month)
@webflow account ($20/month)
This is always my core stack when launching a new company.
More commitment than just buying a domain 🤷‍♂️
FYI: Most no-code SaaS can be broken down into 4 major components:
User-Facing Pages: @webflow
Data: @airtable or @coda_hq
Data movement: @zapier or @make_hq
User management: @memberstack or @outseta
You can bundle them all into @bubble - its just a tough learning curve 😅
Needed to grab a few other things:
Landing Page Template ($49)
Dashboard Template ($79)
@memberstack account ($29/month)
@zapier account (free for now)
For the MVP I will just use the @webflow CMS as my database to move quickly.
Now I need to mock-up the "dashboard"
Templates are great for speeding up your build.
Brand match the dashboard template to landing page then move/modify components for your UI.
Pics:
Original Dash template
New Main Home
New Discovery/Search Page
New Creator Collections
Please excuse any filler content 😅
Now that I have the bones of a product.
Let's map the offer:
Product positioning is a combo of 3 things:
- Customers
- Competitors
- Product
I'm using the Launch OS™ beta.
I haven't talked about it publicly but f*ck it 🤷‍♂️

Re: customers....here's my macro theory.
Too many B2B companies focus on big customers.
Shopify has almost 2m active stores.
Only 2% generate more than $1m a year or have more than 100,000 monthly visitors.
Meaning 98% of the stores are "small".
That's our target market.
Next, competitors.
There's TONS of influencer platforms (many good ones).
But mostly they target "established" stores with
✅ End-to-end influencer management
🤮 30+ Million influencer records
🙄 "Book A Demo" CTA
Not the most approachable/effective for "small" stores.
Lastly, product:
Take the problems with the competitors and turn them into your own features:
👉 Simple Influencer Discovery
👉 Handpicked, Curated Creators
👉 Direct Relationships w/ Creators
👉 Reasonable Pricing
Time to put these on the landing page 🚀
BRB
Landing page rough draft ✅
My standard outline:
1⃣ Header
2⃣ Benefits
3⃣ Features
4⃣ Reviews
5⃣ Pricing
6⃣ FAQs
7⃣ Bump-Up CTA

Now I have a solid understanding of what I am selling and what I am building.
Time to connect the dots 💻💭
Currently setting up signup/login authentication
Tools like @memberstack and @outseta make it so easy to "SaaS-ify" any website in minutes.
1. Set-up memberships
2. Add restricted pages
3. Copy/paste code snippets
Now we can login, look around and logout ✅
A few tedious tasks coming up:
1. Tinkering with Memberstack
2. Setting up webflow CMS collections
3. Syncing CMS to dashboard
I am going to open a Zoom if any of you want to watch all the details/just hang out.
Just send me a DM and I'll sauce you the link.
Live data is pumping ✅
Webflow Collections set-up ✅
Good chat with @JonTuckerUSA
Say hey to our three first influencers @MrJayCroft @jlnahorski & @MarketingMax 👋
User account management ✅
Next, building curated collections.
Creatify is now a functioning SaaS.
Users can now:
- Sign Up (pic 1)
- Use Dashboard
- View Creator List
- Expand Creator Profile
- Email Creators easily
- Explore Collections (pic 2)
- Expand Collections (pic 3)
Taking 30 to enjoy this @drinkolipop (pic 4)and reply to DMs.
Status Update:
6 Hours ⏳
$250 Spent 💸
The core functionality is done.
Data management is under control.
"SaaSification" is done.
Next few things:
- Adding a lot of creator profiles
- Adding @jetboost search + save
- A few @zapier automations for emails
hmm..what's next?
Game 7 starts in an hour so I am going to knock out two quick zaps before doing creator data entry for 3 hours.
Zaps in motion:
1⃣ Welcome Email
2⃣ Cancellation Notification
These serve as the foundation for your on-boarding & cancellation flows.
Add to them over time.
I saved the two "hard" parts for last:
🤮 Manually adding creators to @webflow CMS
💻 Installing @Jetboostio to add search, filter, & save functionality.
Not excited about this part.
But it's gotta get done.
Then we can start MARKETING 👀
Two updates...
1⃣ Adding creators is 10x harder than expected.
2⃣ Installing @Jetboostio is 10x easier than expected.
Now you can filter/sort the entire database to find the right creators.
Save functionality is 50% done.
Saved list is working.
The SaaS works 👀
Discover, save and contact creators in minutes.
Started feeling "scope creep" but am building a list of updates I want to add later.
The point is to create something that won't disappoint a customer while we market test it.
Then we add more features.
Shutting down for the night 🤘
Two lists:
☝️ Future Features - I will get to these but not necessary now
✌️ Marketing checklist for the morning (will continue this thread)
Today has been a blast - appreciate y'all

Last piece of website build is changing out template graphics with my own graphics then double checking mobile.
