Cultural Suppression
Hi, I'm a historian of many things including eugenics, and in case it wasn't blatantly obvious to everyone, yes suggesting an entire group cease to exist for the 'public good' is eugenics and genocidal. Genocide doesn't have to be murder, it can be suppression in other ways.t
Though typically applied to race, nationality, ethnicity, or religion, it can (and should) be understood to apply beyond that. Genocide can include forced adoption out of a culture and forced assimilation, with the intention of destroying the culture.
So, for example, saying there should be less trans people so we should take measures to reduce trans people's access to things that enable them to exist as a trans person, is forcing cis experiences on them and denying healthcare, with the intention of removing their population.
So, for example, suggesting that it should be state/healthcare/social policy to reduce a protected class through denying them healthcare and making their life as part of that class untenable, is pretty genocidal ideology, tbh.
I am, probably long overdue, muting my mentions on this. Because my time and expertise is valuable, if anyone would like to pay me to write more in-depth comparisons of 1920-30s eugenics rhetoric and GC anti-trans rhetoric, eg in an article, please slide into my DMs ✨✨✨
