I've made over $10,000,000 selling shoes and apparel on Amazon.
Here are 10 quick tips that'll help you do the same:
1. Most people don’t even read your title or descriptions. So, make sure you have top-tier photos. If yours are blurry or unflattering, you have almost no chance.
2. Amazon gives you the option to automate pricing optimization. Though this doesn’t work for every offer, try it for yours and see if it’s a good fit.
3. Invest in keyword research. If you want to DIY, invest time. If you want to hire this out, invest money. Either way, prioritize finding the best possible keywords.
4. Study short-form copywriting. Amazon doesn’t give you much space to persuade, so research how to persuade in few words, then execute.
5. Prioritize reviews and customer service. Nothing persuades customers better than positive reviews. Do everything you can to collect them.
6. Focus on benefits. Amazon gives you 5 bullet points to explain your product’s value. Use these to explain key features, but don’t forget to explain the benefits too.
7. Invest in advertising. The best case is you SEO-optimizing your listings and getting clicks for free, but it’s not always that simple. If you have a budget, pay for clicks and see if you can turn a profit.
8. Test everything. That includes your photos, copywriting, and description. If you can A/B test it, do it, get data, optimize, then keep doing it indefinitely.
9. Make sure you have a great product. Without one, none of these tips will work. With one, they’ll explode your profits. Quality first, everything else second.
10. Above all, realize that Amazon success might take 12+ months. Don’t beat yourself up for early failure or stagnation. If you stay in the game and keep getting better, you should find success.
