Do you want to own an airbnb that cashflows?
Me too, so I invested in this co that allows investors to own fractional shares of vacation rentals at $100+.
It's called Here.co, and this is how it works:
I own multiple Airbnb's - they are hugely lucrative... but they're also a lot of work & require a chunk of money..
Here's why I like this company and am betting on it.
Here.co lets you invest in what I think is one of the highest returning asset classes as more of a crowdfunding option.
Less barriers -> cashflow
Benefits:
Here is designed for passive investors who do not have to be accredited. Here.co manages it all:
• Handle property management
• The sourcing of properties
• Investor payouts
• Taxation & fees
How it works:
• You buy shares of rental properties for as little as $100
• You receive pro-rata net rental income on the 15th of each quarter
Investors can request to exit as early as 180 days (probably can't always get your $ out).
An anticipated hold time 5-10 years.
Taxes?
• Pass-through of tax depreciation benefits
• Deductions are expected to be made in relation to each investor's passive income activity
Things to be aware of:
• They're new, any new platform can fail
• The sourcing of properties - can they source enough quick enough
• Expect long hold periods - this ain't day trading
Prediction:
These fractionalized platforms will continue to be bigger and more common. It started with wealthfront, then fundrise, & now here.co. This trend will continue.
DYODD!
No guarantees in investing ever, including here.
Make sure to do your own due diligence as investing always carries risk.
Disclaimers:
I'm biased, I invested in one of their deals, and in the company itself.
Our fund invested in their seed round.
And I found them after they sponsored a CT post. So I have skin in the game BUT you always need to know incentives, those are mine.
