Randomized 1,676 patients
🔑H. pylori eradication: Treated = 70.1% vs. placebo= 7.1%
🔑H. pylori eradication in FDR of gastric ca patients ⬇️ risk of gastric ca (HR= 0.27; 95% CI: 0.10-0.70)
🚫significant difference in gastric adenoma or overall mortality

7/My Practice
Dr. Schoenfeld’s “My Practice”
🟣 I advise Gastric Ca FDR to get tested for H. pylori and treated if +ve.
🟣 I prefer bismuth-based quadruple therapy.
🟣 May consider Vonoprazan-based therapy in the future.
🟣 Confirm successful eradication with stool antigen.
