we couldve got a hajar other things wrong, but slowing pop growth to keep total at ~600-700m by today, would have ensured far higher living standards, less conflicts today.
India's IT industry has an employment of just 4.5m - 0.3% of the population, and generates $130b exports, ~35% of total. You don't need a large pop for high gdp, on the contrary its a huge handicap.
