Cold email is not the same anymore
Before you could get away with sending 20 emails a day
But now some send up to 2000 emails a day
So instead of getting left behind
Use this Bulk Cold Emailing strategy
And watch the clients roll in 👇
Dividing this thread into three parts:
1. Avoiding Failure
2. Software
3. Sequences
Let's roll:
1. Avoiding Failure:
Before we start
I want to reveal the #1 reason most people fail with cold email
Avoiding this mistake will make it near impossible to fail
And it's not related to scripts, personalization, etc
Basically:
Most have a "one off" approach
They'll buy lists from different sources
Somewhat personalize it
Send a few emails here and there
But they'll have NO system behind it
Making it easy to fail and quit
Instead
If you go in from day one treating it as:
A LONG TERM client acquisition SYSTEM for your business
You'll be more likely to:
Test different lead sources
Create systems
Reiterate results
Get better ✅
Now that you're setup for success
Let's get into the technicals:
2. Software:
i) Lead sourcing
Combine database + VA
This will bring optimal results
BuiltWith has worked very well for me
Most people stay away because it's expensive
You can get it for a month and download 20,000+ leads
Your VA will qualify + find contact info
ii) Email warming + sending
I've personally used:
LemList / Instantly / QuickMail
And I like all three
LemList is definitely the least scalable
All three have email warming too
(And warming on QuickMail is free)
iii) Domains
G Suite / Zoho Mail / PorkBun
Don't overcomplicate this
Remember to properly setup:
DKIM + DMARC + SPF
And you'll be golden
Now to the strategy:
3. Sequences:
i) Personalization
I like to personalize our emails with VA's
Just know that it should be RELEVANT
Or an opinion on something the prospect has done
Everyone's used to cheesy / fake compliments
So it's easy to stand out
ii) Scripts
I call it the 3P method:
Personalize - Different for each prospect
Proof - Case studies
Propose - Low commitment CTA
Don't overcomplicate it
iii) Number of Emails
I'd keep the number of emails to a minimum
And ask in the final email:
"Would the next 1-2 months be a better time to reach out?"
Most people who want your service
Don't have the right timing
So this is an easy way to get a commitment without spamming
Remember:
Create SOPs around this process and delegate ASAP
Your time should go into making this process BETTER not running it
