First-time customers are expensive.
Repeat customers are cheap.
Lower acquisition cost = Higher profits
Here are 11 ways to keep your customers coming back for more:

1. Deliver an effective offer. If you sell acne cream, make sure it clears up people’s skin. If you sell sunglasses, make sure they’re well made. Unsatisfied customers don’t come back. Satisfied ones do.
2. Have top-tier customer service. Be helpful. Be attentive. If anything goes wrong, don’t just make it right. Wow your customers by going above and beyond. The better their experience is, the more likely they are to buy again.
3. Invest in email marketing. Email is one of the most affordable ways to get repeat customers. Set up post-purchase flows that sell on autopilot and have a campaign schedule that nurtures and converts.
4. Invest in organic social media. I’m a paid traffic guy, but organic social is similar to email in that it brings people back for roughly zero cost. Deliver value, keep people interested, then sell when the time is right.
5. Retarget with ads. On the paid side, you can retarget past customers with social media and search ads. Though this isn’t zero-cost, it often gets a lot better ROAS than cold traffic.
6. Build complementary offers. If someone buys acne cream, there’s a good chance they’ll want a moisturizer too. That can turn into a quick repeat purchase.
7. Build recurring offers. If you sell a course, try selling a paid community too. If you sell a physical product, try selling something consumable or doing a monthly subscription bundle. The more recurring rev you create, the better.
8. Experiment with a loyalty program. You can offer rewards points to buyers, then give them a free gift once they spend enough with your store. That’s just one of many examples of loyalty programs.
9. Offer a discount. Emailing customers with a coupon after purchase is a very common strategy. Whether you want to employ it depends on your offer, but for many brands, it makes sense.
10. Improve your packaging. The unboxing experience can make a major impact on how people view your brand. Invest in cool packaging and consider adding a note or something else that shows your appreciation.
11. Show personality. People like buying from people and brands who have distinct personalities. Don’t be business-like and boring. Give your brand a human voice and don’t be afraid to crack a joke here and there.
That’s everything.
