Using Lead magnets in your list-building process is very important
However, you can't just use anything as a lead magnet
Sadly, a lot of marketers don't know HOW to create Powerful Lead Magnets
In this thread, I'd be showing you my FISH-BAIT strategy

A Lead Magnet is powerful in the sense that it attracts your target audience to you fast
Think of the suya man that sells suya on your street.
When you come to buy
He gives you a FREE taste of what you're getting.
Then, you go on to buy it if you like it.

A Lead magnet helps you NOT just build your list but helps to build interest in your product…
But a lot of marketers are just winging it wildly, they just do it anyhow
Just like the name, the lead magnet should attract your target audience and repel those who are not.

Now the idea behind the FISH BAIT STRATEGY is this…
When a fisherman goes to the river to catch fish…
He doesn't just go and throw his hook and pray that a fish gets Stuck there
He comes up with strategies on how to call the attention of fishes so he can catch them.

That fisherman would have a bucket of worms…
The bigger the fish he wants to catch…
The bigger and fatter and juicier the worm has to look
His whole strategy is dependent on the worm…
And most importantly takes the worms to where fishes can see them and get them.

It will be totally dumb for a fisherman to carry his baits to the storex tank in his house or the stream just down his street if he means business.
But let's assume that you already know where your audience are or how to find them.
The type of bait you use is crucial.

Now relating this to marketing…
The more quality you want your audience to be
The more valuable you have to make your lead magnet look
Not just look, it has to be valuable.
Attempts to deceive will eventually backfire as you will lose their trust once they discover

A lead magnet can come in different formats:
- an ebook
- a video
- a free training
- a checklist
- a swipe file
- a Done for you template e.t.c
Whatever format you choose for your lead magnet, it must attract the type of audience you want and be of good quality.

You have to make it as attractive as a fish bait
Juicy, fresh and valuable…
It should help the LEAD know what you or your product is all about and most importantly build trust on the long run.
Your lead magnet can make or kill your marketing campaign if you miss it.

These 2 things are important when creating your lead magnet;
- THE NAME of your Lead magnet
- THE WAY YOU POTRAY your Lead Magnet
Like I said earlier, positioning is crucial in your marketing and determines the type of results you get.
I call this MAGNETIC MARKETING.
