Lol my friend in your entire replies you are stuck with Marathi-Kannada and regionalism. Please don't mind but the larger point I'm making and your replies to it are a bit childish. Rather my point about cultural identities being fluid is beneficial to you as you can use it to
trace the scope and effects of the Carnatic expansion properly. I am a Digambar Jain and you don't need to tell me about any of these dynasties. You can check my pinned tweet where the common point I have made is that there is a continuity of Deccan domination from the
Satavahanas to the Maratha Empire. Pratiharas were vassals of Rashtrakutas throughout their existence but in the recent past have they been mentioned when the Pratiharas are being lionised? The reason behind this lies in your regionalist approach. You don't know how to market
your dynasties. Today there are statues of Shivaji Maharaj throughout India but do you see us go and comment below every post that don't post about him as he's from Maharashtra? If that will happen then people will be put away from studying about him. Because of your behavior
the history of the Kadambas, Chalukyas, Rashtrakutas etc is not taught in Maharashtra. You will not be able to highlight these dynasties and shift the fulcrum of Indian civilisation to the Deccan without Maharashtra being a part of it. I myself know many Kannada historians and
all of them are satisfied with finding Kannada inscriptions in Southern Maharashtra. The reality is that every mercantile, agricultural, artisanal caste of India was formed (or shall we say organised) in the Kannauj era when dynasties from the Deccan dominated. The focus of
Kannada activists from Vokkaliga and other such backward caste communities should be to trace these migrations and document how all the castes of India have their roots in the Deccan. And when we say the Deccan it includes Karnataka (except for Tulu Nadu), Telangana, Andhra
Pradesh (except for Rayalaseema) and Maharashtra. Also just some food for thought-all the inscriptions of the early dynasties in this region and even some of the early inscriptions of Kannada patronising dynasties later (for eg Chandravalli of the Kadambas) were in (Maharashtri)
Prakrit. This is all much much before the Halmidi inscription. You need to break out of the formula given by Alur Venkatarao and adapt yourself to the modern times.
