unity's internal game dev team initiative gave me so much hope. hope that is now lost
this makes me so sad and angry

unity is a huge part of my life, both professionally and as a hobby. I want unity to succeed, I love using unity, I use it almost every single day!
but it feels like they are losing focus. like it's trying to be everything now, instead of trying to be the best for game dev

it's so frustrating to see unity diffusing into a hydra of incomplete features, experimental packages, branching render pipelines, branching low level CPU workflows, deprecated legacy tools, that somehow are still the most reliable and shippable
it feels like unity is always working on the parts of unity that I don't use, as a game and tool developer
it feels like they are so much more keen to add features, than to improve existing ones, improvements we've all been waiting for, for a long time

the most bizarre thing to me is that I've talked to so many wonderful, passionate and helpful people at unity, who really are connected to us
but they never seem to be the ones calling the shots
it's always a resigned "yeah, it's, not great, hopefully things will get better :/"
