4. Karna, of course, was the instigator. That Karna could stoop down to such a level is shocking. But one can understand. His personality is revealed progressively in Mahabharata. A sense of loss results in an eternal drift if you dont take charge.

5. Duryodhana was the man of the moment. Karna knew what would bring the greatest โVikritaโ pleasure to him. Everything happened because he approved and sought it. Karna and Duryodhana had no regrets for what transpired.

6. Pandavas on the other hand were caught in their own mental battles. Their Dharmic weaknesses well used by Shakuni. Knowingly fully well that they must protect Draupadi, they failed to use their strengths.

7. Just as Pandavas - Bheeshma, Drona, Kripa were caught in their imagined battles. Once again well thought through by Shakuni.
Among them, Bheeshma, the greatest Acharya of those times, could not see the Universal Dharma. Was caught in a Personal Dharma.

8. Dhritarashtra secretly enjoyed the moment. He was all the time upset that Draupadi was not won by Duryodhana.
Yet, once the momentary enjoyment receded, he was afraid of what happened to Draupadi. He feared her curse. He knew that it was wrong. Gave her 3 boons.

Our Institutions dont have the ability to be Vidura-s yet. At least be Bheeshma/Drona and reflect well. At least have the post-crime reflection of Dhritarashtra.
