The Muslim parent is seemingly more concerned about their childβs exposure to such phenomena in such early and impressionable stages of their life.
However, what is our response and how genuine is the concern?

We all agree that there is now, more than ever a need for more and more private schools to be set up in our communities, but what steps can be taken till such projects come to materialise?
Firstly, homeschooling is a real option.

Many families are two-income based, not to get by, but to live more luxurious lives. Parents or one parent should seek to suspend their life to learning and then teaching their children, albeit with perhaps a small sacrifice of material wealth.

But what is worth more, a noble and righteous child, or two holidays a year?
Secondly, if you canβt go βall inβ, be rigorous in providing your child the Islamic viewpoints on all matters, and teach them as a primary course of action not reactionary.

Thirdly, adjust the cultures within your homes. So long as they see Western celebs, sports personalities, movies and entertainment on our screens, there will always be a subconscious inclination towards the cultures of those they are spending weekends watching. [6/7]
To save our children, we must save ourselves first. Prioritise your lives, educate yourself, and raise generations who will live for the cause of this Ummah.
