[How Feminism contradicts Islam and is Kuffr, 🧵]
We always hear;
‘‘But Isn’t Islam a Feminist religion?’’
‘‘Islam gave women rights! So, what’s wrong with Feminism’’
‘‘Feminism is only about equal rights!’’
These are false statements, and here is why;
When defining Feminism, there is no consensus among the founding mothers of Feminism, hence we will look at the core thesis and the foundations of Feminism, at its core it conflicts with Islam’s principles.
Foundations of Feminism that was propagated by all Feminist founding leaders.
1.Anti-Patriarchy
2.Anti-Religion
[Islam is a patriarchal religion]
According to Islamic Law, lineage is patrilineal and social and family structures have authority flowing through the patriarch and other male figures.
Feminists abide by the Patriarchy Thesis which claims that men have constructed and maintained a universal structure, to systematically take advantage of women and prioritize men’s interests over women’s.
This is of course not substantiated by historical facts or theoretical scrutiny. But that authority was for the benefit of all, not merely the benefit of men at the expense of women.
1. One cannot be committed to feminism without accepting the Patriarchal Thesis i.e., the thesis that there exists a social structure perpetuated by men designed to subjugate and oppress women that has existed since the dawn of civilization.
2. The Patriarchal Thesis opposes Islam.
3. Therefore, Feminism opposes Islam.
[Anti-Religion]
From its beginning in the 19th century as a social movement for women’s suffrage, Feminism in its 1st wave targeted traditional religion as the source of women’s subjugation.
Susan B. Anthony, one of the main figures in the women’s suffrage movement, noted, ‘‘The worst enemy [women] have is in the pulpit.’’

‘‘This religion and the Bible require of women everything and give her nothing. They ask her support and her love, and repay her with contempt and oppression’’

There are many other quotes which I can cite but it would make this too lengthy, we can find this animosity towards religion throughout the writing and speeches of many of the most prominent 1st wave feminists, including Elizabeth Cady Stanton.
But the anti-religious animus does not end with first wave feminism.
Consider the so-called 2nd wave, the Philosopher who is one of the key founding figures of this wave.
Expresses her opposition to religion by saying ‘‘Man enjoys the great advantage of having a god that endorses the code he writes; and since man exercises a sovereign authority over women it is especially fortunate that this authority has been vested in him by the Supreme being’’

On religion, prominent 2nd wave feminist Gloria Steinem contends, ‘‘It’s an incredible con job, when you think of it, to believe something now in exchange for life after death’’

This also continues within 3rd wave feminism, it actually only intensifies, but this animosity takes many forms including the form of devotion to alternative religion and non-denominational spirituality.
Many Feminists are not aware of this, but 1st wave Feminism had ties with Racism, the main founding mothers of 1st wave feminism were racists. Elizabeth Stanton, Millicent Fawcett and
Rebecca Latimer Felton who was the first female senator in the US believed in lynching black people. (White, 2005:178:-9). White, L(2005). Love, Rate, Rape Lynching.
Rebecca Latimer Felton and the Politics of Radical Violence. New York: Duke university press.
In 1920, white women had the right to vote but black women would have to wait nearly five decades or more to actually exercise that right, It was a surprisingly popular opinion to be racist at that time with Feminists.
The Fawcett society as well as it was clear that they were colonial racist people, they were entitled women who did not speak out for other women who were in other colonies, they only care about themselves, as they did not care about black people that they were lynching.
This clearly shows the colonial and racist nature of Feminism.
In conclusion, it is impossible for a Muslim to be a Feminist.
