What I Look for in a High Tight Flag
- The best of Flags happen when they are not in stage 2 but when they move from Stage 1, 3 or 4. I always prefer the ones moving out of such stages because such moves are always moves created by institutions.

HTF or Powerplay requires 100% in 8 weeks. What I have found in Indian markets is that, flag like muted selling happens around a 75% mark itself and if we are looking for a 100% move, we might even end up missing it. I use a 75% in 6 weeks condition to filter.

What do I look for in a flag. I look for low volume selling with a not so deep price correction. What is deep is debatable. For me 100% move I agree for 20%, If its 75%, I agree for a 15% correction and so on.

Once the low of the flag is set, I dont want any more Drops in price on on high volumes. As Long as high volume selling is not there, I know that the institutions who have got in haven't sold.

What if they are selling in a discrete manner. That Way they might be liquidating slowly. If such liquidation happens, the stock wont breakout out again for a long time.

If the stock has moved 100% before it makes a flag, I want the flag to move within 8 weeks. If the stock doesnt break the pole in 8 weeks, its not a flag or Powerplay anymore.
If the institutions sell quickly, Price will fall with volumes. If Volume is dry and a breakout happens in less than 8 weeks, I take the ride. Its not a normal box vcp trade.
Flags can give great returns. If a Flag works, based on my trading history, you will get atleast 1-1.5% per day of holding.

Most Important
Don't look for flags on weekly charts. The strongest of flags can move in 7-10 days also. If we look at weekly, you wont see anything.
