At age 39 I became a millionaire.
If I had to do it over again and become a millionaire by age 30
This is exactly what I would do...
1: Stop Watching TV
99% of what you see on TV is designed around negativity. News is designed to keep you in a state of fear. Advertisements are used to manipulate you because fear makes great consumers.
Avoid the cycle.
2: Find Your Purpose
My life changed when I reverse engineered my life.
One day I woke up a decided I was going to become wealthy.
I saw the world with a sense of optimism and I immediately put the building blocks in place.
3: Exploit your 9-5
Leverage your paycheck by:
โƒ Working less
โƒ Avoiding promotions
โƒ Seeking less responsibility
โƒ Never volunteering for "extra"
Employers pay you as little as possible.
Donโ€™t feel bad about using company time for personal business.
4: Make HARD Decisions
FACT:
Wealthy people do what other people arenโ€™t willing to do.
Before I became wealthy I drove a Nissan Leaf. I drove it into the ground. Broke people talked trash.
But they're still broke.
I'm not.
5: Ignore the Haters
Once you win...
People will get intimidated.
They will try to drag you back down to their level.
Remember:
The loudest boos come from the cheapest seats.
These people were NEVER your friends.
6: Take Extreme Action
I taught public school for 20 years.
I've worked with 100s0 of clients.
The #1 indicator of success:
Willingness to take action.
Not IQ
Not looks
Not even talent
Stop waiting until tomorrow and get it done TODAY.
7: Practice Extreme Optimism
If you believe success is guaranteed you will take more risks. If you take more risks you will have more learning opportunities... a nd every opportunity will translate into more knowledge.
I never once doubted my success.
You shouldnโ€™t either.
8: Program Your Mind
These books changed how I perceive the world:
1 Psycho-Cybernetics - Maltz
2 Zen in the Art of Archery
3 Influence - Cialdini
4 Meditations - Marcus Aurtelius
5 Way of the Superior Man - Deida
Good books = Good influence
9: Prioritize Heath
Health is the highest form of wealth.
Health brings you more time and energy.
Eat healthy foods, drink water, and lift heavy weights.
The point of being wealthy is to buy back time... but donโ€™t shorten your life with an unhealthy body.
10: Exploit the Pareto Principle
Identify the 20% of your actions that bring 80% of the results.
Only give your attention to the things bringing you results.
Identify, pursue, and scale.
Keep doubling down on this pattern until it no longer works.
11: Form a Mastermind
โ€œThe Master Mind principle: 2 or more people engaged in the pursuit of a purpose with a positive mental attitude, constitute an unbeatable force.โ€ - Napoleon Hill

12: Marry the RIGHT Woman
The person you marry is the biggest financial decision you make.
The right person will lead to prosperity.
The wrong person will lead to ruin.
13: Always Play the Long Game.
Most people broke because they are impulsive.
Stop treating your debit card like a credit card.
Stop treating people like they are your personal ATM.
Instead, focus on delivering genuine value to the world.
14: Capitalize During Major Life Events
Life is going to throw you punches.
How you respond will forge you into that man you will become.
At 25, I was $55K in debt
At 30, I had $0 in my savings
At 39, I became a millionaire
It wasnโ€™t easy, but I loved every minute of it.
TL;DR
1 Stop Watching TV
2 Find Your Purpose
3 Exploit your 9-5
4 HARD Decisions
5 Ignore Haters
6 Take Action
7 Practice Optimism
8 Program Your Mind
9 Prioritize Heath
10 Exploit 80/20
11 Form a Mastermind
12 Marry Wisely
13 Play the Long Game
14 Capitalize During Events
