Unity has been thriving thanks to a huge indie scene of people who make experimental games, just for fun, or to test some out-there concepts, for the sake of the art itself
and it's just so sad to see Unity losing touch with those of us who helped cultivate this community

I've been using unity for over a decade
I'll probably keep using it for now, because *literally everything* I do is in unity, whether it's in education, game dev, or for my videos
so when my income and professional life depends on Unity doing well it really hurts seeing it burn
