A good FAQ page can help people at different stages of the buyer's journey—and help you rank better.
Here are three ways to find questions for your FAQ page:
1. Research what users are asking
2. Do keyword research
3. Reverse engineer your competitors
Let's delve deeper👇
1. Research what users are asking
Get feedback from your customers/users/audience by:
- Checking with your support/sales teams
- Looking at Google Search console queries
- Checking People Also Ask boxes on SERPs
- Researching relevant communities (Quora, Reddit, etc.)
2. Do keyword research
- Open Ahrefs' Keywords Explorer
- Plug a seed keyword (e.g. "pizza")
- Go to Matching terms report > Turn on Questions filter
You'll see potential questions related to your seed term. For more specific results, use a more focused seed keyword.
3. Reverse engineer competitors
Find out what questions your competitors are using.
- Open Ahrefs' Site Explorer
- Enter competitor's URL
- Open Organic keywords report
- Add filters: [Keyword: Add modifiers e.g. What, where, etc.] [Contains] [Any value]
- Apply > view results!
