Erinle is an orisa that is not talked about a lot, but they represent the fluidity of gender expression and life itself.
If you experience life with adaptability, youโ€™ll always touch more sweetness.
Erinle is a village orisa and a mighty warrior that protected the city of Ilobu from Fulani invasions.
With the nickname of Erin (Elephant) Erinle was known for their strength, size, and servitude to protecting those that they loved.
Erinle is feminine as a water spirit and simultaneously masculine as a hunter & farmer. Erinle is androgynous and depending on where you go, theyโ€™ll be seen as a man or woman.
They share close relationships with Osun, Ogun, etc. Erinleโ€™s river actually leads to Osunโ€™s river!
Erinle heals, protects, and blesses their children with the use of water and herbs. Bringing their children abundance and safety in both land and water.
Erinle is a special orisa and their love is ever reaching. Where land and water meets, you will find them.
Erinle is also my ancestor. My people venerated Erinle for centuries up until a few generations.
Bringing Erinle home has brought me back to myself. And it also brought me ease regarding my own expressions and belief of gender.
They are family and Iโ€™m grateful. Erinle Ajaja ๐Ÿ˜
