The key with upsells is to sell more of what the buyer was just sold on. This first means selling the exact same thing, but also products that offer the same solution, from a different angle. For a skin care product this could be a cream, to a face mask.

Upsells should also utilize bundles so that you can raise the value as you raise the price. If people decline the offer, use downsells to keep the value/price constant, but allow users to get into the deal at a lower price point because they’ll receive less units
