Everyone has struggled with procrastination at one time or another.
This thread will teach you how to kick procrastination in the teeth so you can win the day every day.
Have Like-Minded Friends
If you have like-minded friends they can hold you accountable without looking down on you for messing up.
If your friends see failure as part of the process, they push you to keep going even when you want to quit.
New Mindset
If youโ€™re always procrastinating then something needs to change.
You canโ€™t keep doing the same thing over and over again and expect a different result.
By changing your perspective you can change how you respond.
Establish a clear plan.
You may know what it is you want but if you donโ€™t know how to achieve it, the chances are, you will fail.
Outline a plan that breaks down each individual step you will need to attain your goal. Small steps lead to big changes.
Build habits.
Habits make life 10x easier. The more you have to think about what youโ€™re doing the greater chance that your mind will start to wonder.
Systems and habits remove the guessing and give you a clear step-by-step process to follow.
Reject negative self-talk.
If you wouldnโ€™t say it to your best friend or a loved one why then accept saying it to yourself?
You show people how to treat you.
Start a Journal.
This one simple task will improve your entire life.
Journaling allows the troubles of your mind to be emptied onto a page. This will also help you organize your thoughts and make it easier to take action on them.
Fuel your body.
Eat a balanced diet with set times for meals. This will keep your mind and body in the right frame of mind to take action.
Eat foods such as:
- Fish (Omega 3)
- Spinach / broccoli
- Nuts
- Tea and coffee (limited)
Stop making excuses.
There comes a time in your life when you realize that you can no longer run from your problems.
Facing them head-on and taking responsibility for the situation that you find yourself in will aid in creating the life you want to live.
