The mighty voice of LINTON KWESI JOHNSON (LKJ)!
Those were the days!
I was in the front line of protests for George Lindo then as a young student at London and Cambridge Universities.
This was in the early 1980's and Margaret Thatcher was in power.
ever.
Im my view she was the second greatest PM Britain has ever had but on the issues of racism in the UK, the brutality and racialist attitude of the British police and justice system towards black people and Britain's links with the evil white minority apartheid Government of South,
I and millions of other blacks in the UK, disagreed with her.
Thankfully Britain is a totally different country today and men like Linton Kwesie Johnson, who was, is and will always be black Britain's greatest cult figure, have eventually triumphed.

Ministers in Governments and are now running to be Prime Minister.
What a triumph for social justice and patience.
All this is thanks to men like LKJ who paved the way for the black community in the 1970's and 1980's and who used literature, poetry, songs, demonstrations 5..
and open defiance against the system to fight against what was then a racist, class-conscious and unjust society and country.
In my view he is the greatest black hero that the UK has ever had when it comes to cultural revolutions!

He kept us all going and gave us hope. He did it all with his poems and songs which were sang and recited in all the clubs, marches and demonstrations throughout the country.

Today he and his works are a subject of courses in most of the British Universities.
What a MAN! 💪✊👌👏✊🙏😊
God bless LKJ for
