2. Tradition gives you templates to think. It shapes the shapeless thoughts that arise in mind; and bind it to make its ventures coherent. Once this disciplining of citta is done, there is no restriction on creativity of the artist. Creativity coming from tradition is fulfilling.
3. In the Lakshmi Narasimha Hoysala temple at Javagal, as at many Hoysala temples we see a peculiar sight. The Trivikrama panel is very famous in Hindu sculpture. This is more popular in south India but not unknown in the north.
