It’s very weird but a lot of the modern Han simply have no conceptualization of religion as a part of their national identity. It’s just some suit for them that they wear to fit in the America or Australia or wherever they move.
It doesn’t even strike them there is more to living than just progressing materially and cutthroating your geopolitical rivals.
I guess this is the same reason Han women marry White men at such high rates in America, Australia and England. They view it as an upgrade in looks and wealth, and that’s good enough of a reason.
Browsing chinese forums with google translate, I only noticed two things they talk about when it comes to India. One is bragging how ahead they are, posting pictures of indian cities and laughing about it; the other, obsessing over caste differences in India due to looks.
