Incredible -- USA battery storage now reaching the combined cumulative energy storage capacity of a single decent pumped hydro facility from the 70s.
We're so advanced and futuristic.
Few energy transition experts seem to understand energy storage.
For many of them it falls into the category of "things their dinner depends on them NOT understanding."
For others it's incompetence.
I've been badgered into recording a podcast on this topic soon with @Dr_Keefer
A few people are perhaps predictably misinterpreting me.
I'm not complaining about the batteries per se.
It's a win for nuclear: storage typically is!
Nuclear and storage are a match made in heaven. That's why most grid storage was made by and for nuclear-operating utilities.
One final point: @BPBartholomew is the sharpest guy on Twitter communicating publicly and honestly about battery storage, in my opinion.
