I work 1-on-1 with men battling 5-35 year-long porn addictions every day.
This is the exact 8-step system that leads them to freedom from porn:
Step 1)
Remove limiting beliefs
"I can't quit porn"
"I can't say no to porn"
"I struggle to quit porn"
All of these are limiting beliefs and speaking them over yourself makes quitting porn impossible.
Your subconscious mind is always listening.
Use this to your advantage.
Take on a new identity.
You are not a porn addict.
You are a porn-free man.
This small change in the way you speak to yourself makes a huge difference.
This is one way to rewire your subconscious mind to make quitting porn as easy as watching it.
Step 2)
Visualize your porn-free life
What you visualize in your mind's eye is your reality.
If you can paint a multi-sensory image in your subconscious mind of what living porn-free is like
You will experience freedom.
Once you have that experience you can replicate it.
This is how I quit nicotine in February.
I wrote down multi-sensory descriptors of what my nicotine-free life would look like.
The next morning I woke up without cravings.
I quit in 7 days.
I have an exercise in my program that teaches you how to do this for porn.
Step 3)
Create strategies for urges
The urge to watch porn is not the urge to watch porn.
It's the urge to release negative emotional tension.
You use porn as a coping mechanism for stress.
Once you identify the stressors in your life you can create ways to deal with them.
The most common reasons men watch porn are:
- Stress
- Anxiety
- Loneliness
- Boredom
- Frustration
- Depression
- Complacency
I give my clients easy-to-use strategies for each of those stressors.
They're never caught off-guard by porn or urges.
That's why my program works.
Step 4)
Dedicate time to release tension
Inside my coaching program I have a special exercise.
It's called the 20-Minute Tension Release.
It's a quick and easy way for men to release tension and get rid of urges in 20 minutes or less.
Clients have quit doing only this.
Here's how it works:
1. Get out a pen and paper
2. Start writing
Answer these two questions while you write:
"What am I thinking?"
"What am I feeling?"
Then ask yourself: What can I do about it?
Create a plan and release tension by taking action.
(that's just the surface)
Step 5)
Set up routines
Your brain loves patterns. It loves predictability.
You need time to hype yourself up and time to relax.
Set up a morning routine that energizes you.
Set up a night routine that relaxes you.
This leaves less room for porn.
But don't set them up to quit porn.
Set them up because they make your life better.
That way the routines stick long after you quit.
My morning and night routines are simple:
Morning: Read Bible, journal
Night: Shower, Read Bible, journal
Keep them nice and easy.
Step 6)
Block thots
This sounds simple.
And it is. But it's easy to skip this step.
Each time you block a thot you're affirming to your subconscious that you don't like thots.
When you block them you deny them your attention.
They can't feed off of you.
You're telling your subconscious mind:
1. I'm happier without porn
2. I choose not to look at it
3. I am in control of my urges
Powerful stuff.
It's also practical because the algos learn you aren't interested in thottery.
The more thots you block, the better.
Step 7)
Rewire the subconscious mind
I have weekly Zoom calls with my clients.
This is an opportunity for you to sit back and relax as I rewire your subconscious mind.
This makes choosing to live porn-free easy.
This is one reason why my clients quit for good.
You tell me your current beliefs.
I break them down. I replace them with better beliefs.
Beliefs that make quitting easier.
Why?
Because they are aligned with who you are, what you want, and what you do.
It becomes your reality.
Your porn-free reality.
Step 8)
Accountability
You can quit porn on your own. It took me 3 years to quit.
But with accountability Tom was able to end his 35-year addiction in 30 days.
Not accountability partner accountability.
I message my clients 3-4 times per day and we have daily conversations.
I message you in the morning.
In the afternoon.
In the evening.
And again at night.
I know just how important these check-ins can be.
These check-ins can be the difference between making porn the hardest thing you've ever done.
Or so easy you won't even believe it's real.
The entire 8-step system, simplified:
1. Remove limiting beliefs
2. Visualize your porn-free life
3. Create strategies for urges
4. Dedicate time to release tension
5. Set up routines
6. Block thots
7. Rewire the subconscious mind
8. Get accountability
Let me help you apply those 8 steps in a way that works for you.
In a way that was meant for you.
To make quitting fast, easy, and permanent.
Like I did for Tom who quit in 30 days after 35 years of addiction:
