4 Dark shadows of Men
= Thread =
1. The Warrior
The warrior energy is what propels men forward. It's the aggression with which men attack life - the fire in the belly.
In fact, aggression is a force that can be used for both good and bad. But aggression in and of itself - is neutral.
The shadow side of the warrior archetype can be divided into two polar opposites, the sadist and the masochist. Chances are you are going to resonate more with one or the other...
The sadist is the traditional brute, he has tons of aggression and displays it every chance he gets
2. The Lover
The lover archetype is what makes us feel alive and passionate. It's being connected to your emotions on a deep level and truly expressing yourself.
Now let's explore the shadow of lover archetype.
The addicted lover is the man who is constantly looking for the next thing, the next rush. It could be a new girlfriend, a new drug, or a new business/idea.
He is constantly bouncing around and rarely finishes what he starts. He never seems to find his peace - a restless soul.
3. The Magician
The magician archetype is the manifestation of the learned one. The Nikola tesla's, Elon Musk's, and Steve Job's of the world.
They've devoted their entire life into perfecting a craft and making it their legacy.
The manipulator shadow poses as the magician in his fullness - he teases would-be initiates with the prospect of learning his secrets, but he doesn't give them all his knowledge.
He withholds things from them in order to feed both his pride and his pocketbook.
4. The King
The king is centered, fully present, and decisive. The king's energy is unwavering and focused. When time gets tough, and everyone else panics - The king remains calm.
will he wield that power responsibility in a way that brings life to the kingdom?
This depends on whether he is centered within his positive aspect of king, or whether he is gripped by his shadow archetype of puppet and tyrant.
The puppet represents the passive polarity within the king's shadow; the tyrant represents the passive polarity.
