You do realise that Lanka =/= India?
Also, the area you are talking about is part of Sinhala land that occasionally came under Tamil control.
And, the inscription talks about Polonnaruwa breaking free from Chola vassalage by a Kalingan who ruled only for 6 days.
Vijayabahu I is the one credited to have pushed out Cholas from Polonnaruwa, a century ago.
The area didn't fall under Indian rule until that of Kalinga Magha. So, where do Cholas fall under all of this?
A king from Tambralinga rose to the Jaffna throne for 6 years but even that was through diplomacy, not conquest.
Srivijayans never had any hold in India nor Jaffna.
Also, it is debatable whether the death of Rajendra Chola even occurred during this as another account gives his death to be in Tiruvannamalai, which is far Northwards.
Samaravijayatunggavarman lived around 1045 AD while Mahinda VI had his week long stint in 1186.
If the inscription talks of Mahinda V, it would still be incorrect as he was captured by the Cholas and taken to Tamilakam as a prisoner of war. Mahavamsa says he was incompetent.
