This invaluable letter in Bengali was written by Justice PB Chakravartti to historian RC Majumdar. Chakravartti recalled his talk with former British PM Sir Clement Attlee, who unlike Indian politicians, was truthful enough to admit that he set India free because of Subhas Bose.
Sir Attlee told the judge, then acting as Bengal governor, that Mahatma Gandhi's actions had #minimal impact on his taking the historic decision. Crooked Indian politicians and court historians fed us lies over the decades. People of India should know and proclaim the truth.
