Let's talk Screener setups.
What are some of your favourite custom ratios that you use most often on @screener_in?
If we have enough people contribute, will make a list of useful ratios.
@sahil_vi @suru27 @itsTarH @theHarshFolio @AnishA_Moonka
Two simple ones from me:
1/
1. A CWIP Ratio
Companies do different amounts of capex (image @soicfinance), but itcould be very small, or very large depending on the size of the company.
Navin Fluorine and Tata Chemicals are both doing ~1500 Cr. of capex.
2/
The simplest measure of this is to divide the amount of capex by the fixed assets/net block of the company.
This shows us that for Tata Chemicals, the 1500 Cr. capex is only 10% of the net block, while for Navin Fluorine, it's over 100%.
3/
The second one I use frequently is to divide the cash from operations by the EBITDA.
This helps me eyeball cashflows, and to look further if something is an outlier.
4/
Anyone who's had any interaction with @theHarshFolio will start using EV/Sales which isn't available by default on Screener.
One can also do similar ratios to understand how much cash / investments a company has compared to the market cap...
5/
Anyone reading this, do jump in with ideas/suggestions. Point is not to have a very nuanced list or a filter, but simple ratios that quickly become indispensable in understanding what to look at.
