@kanimated long story short, circular arcs joined with linear segments (or other circular arcs) have an instantaneous curvature discontinuity that will both feel jarring, as well as look jarring
as in, curvature instantaneously changes from 0 to 1/curveRadius, which, isn't very smooth

@kanimated circular arcs are the special case where curvature is constant, and switching between constant values is, well, not smooth!

@kanimated there's also a visual component to it - if you have a reflective surface, circular arcs will actually have a very distinct visual discontinuity too
