People *drastically* underestimate the extent to which our complex systems and quality of life are dependent on goodwill and voluntary cooperation and how rapidly they will degrade and collapse when those crucial ingredients are removed.
Sure you may be able to โpush a buttonโ and โget a resultโ for some period of time, but when the fuel for your machine is popular consent and goodwill that machine will only work for a surprisingly short period of time.
Further, when you burn consent and goodwill in a bonfire, quiet non-cooperation quickly becomes in many ways a *best case* scenario. Because so much in of our way of life is built for environments of trust & goodwill the disruptive impact of planned adversarial action is +++++++
