13 ways "The Pareto Principle" can 10x your business and quality of life:
The Pareto Principle was developed in 1896 by an Italian economist.
He observed that:
• Only 20% of the population owned 80% of land in Italy
• 20% of the plants in his garden produced 80% of the fruit
He noticed this phenomenon everywhere... and you will too.
Why does it matter?
The 80/20 rule helps you:
• Target high-impact actions
• Optimize your time
• Reprioritize. Everything.
• Find what works and double-down on it
• Cut the fat from your schedule, business, mindset, etc
Here are 13 ways the 80/20 rule already applies to your business:
1) 20% of your to-do list will result in 80% of the day's actual productivity
2) 80% of your profits will come from 20% of your customers
3) 20% of your posts online will receive 80% of your engagement
4) 80% of a company's wealth tends to go to the highest paid 20% of workers
(so the bottom 80% only ends up with 20% split among them)
5) 20% of a book/podcast/article will contain 80% of its valuable info
6) 80% of product defects are caused by 20% of production issues
7) 20% of your employees/team members produce 80% of the results (!)
8) 80% of your revenue comes from 20% of your products
9) 20% of features make up 80% of a software's usage
10) 80% of a meeting's purpose happens in 20% of the meeting time
11) 20% of your income streams give you 80% of your income
12) 80% of the time you spend learning, you only retain about 20% of the info
13) 20% of your investments will yield 80% of your returns
